13.08, 13.09 jam error in the toner cartridge or fuser area

Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations in the toner cartridge or fuser area. When a jam occurs, a message displays on the printer control panel.
  • 13.08.yz Paper is jammed in the cartridge area
  • 13.09.yz Paper is jammed in the cartridge area
  1. Press the front door release button.

  2. Open the front door on the printer.

  3. Remove the toner cartridge from the printer.

  4. Lift the jam-access cover.
    Figure : Lift the jam-access cover
  5. If jammed paper is visible, remove any jammed paper.

  6. Reinstall the toner cartridge in the printer.

  7. Close the front door on the printer.
    Figure : Close the front door
  8. If no paper was jammed inside the print cartridge door, press the front door release button and open the front door, and then open the rear door.
    Figure : Open the front door and the rear door
  9. If jammed paper is visible inside the rear door, pull it straight out to remove it.
    Figure : Remove any jammed paper from inside the rear door
  10. Close the rear door and the front door on the printer.
